Recently Greubel Forsey have made two trips out to Asia, the first to a Yafiro arrange exhibition in Singapore and the second a private collectors function in Bangkok, Thailand.
Stephen Forsey was at both events with the full range of Greubel Forsey models and was able to explain to collectors, press, invited guests and the public the philosophy driving the exclusive brand and the handcraft in every timepiece.
You can view more(very colourful) photos from the tours on the Horomundi Greubel Forsey Discussion Forum.
Strong growth and the need to more space lead to the decision to construct a purpose-built manufacture and renovate an historical farm house on the edge of town.
The new manufacture will feature both best practice and state of the art environmental credentials and is expected to be ready in the first half of 2009.

A fine reward for the entire Greubel Forsey team! Its third invention, the Tourbillon 24 Secondes Incliné, has just been honoured by the Special Jury Prize at the prize-giving ceremony of the 14th "Watch of the Year" awards, an annual competition organised by the Swiss "Montres Passion" magazine. Immediately recognisable by its asymmetrical case, the Tourbillon 24 Secondes Incliné is distinguished by the fast rotation of a single inclined cage an original means of enhancing the performances of a single Tourbillon.
The cage of the mechanism performs a complete turn in just 24 seconds. The prize was officially resented to Stephen Forsey on November 1st 2007, at a gala evening held by the magazine in the lounges of the Beau-Rivage Hotel in Geneva.
Baselworld 2007 is shaping up to be a vintage year for Greubel Forsey. We have exciting new models to present and a 4th new invention that we feel will make a few waves. Those of you planning to visit Baselworld 2007 are welcome to visit our (enlarged) stand in the hall of Emotion 5.1 E03.
The Double Tourbillon 30° is now available in two versions: "Vision" and "Secret". Vision is the DT30° with its exquisite tourbillons on full display through the open dial. Secret is an altogether more modest rendition of the DT30° with a full dial. While Secret hides its horological artistry from public view, its owner can always appreciate its charms descreetly through the display back.
The Tourbillon 24 Secondes Incliné (T24Si) successfully passed its EWT validation with flying colours and is now available as a finished Invention. Greubel Forsey's EWT® laboratory testing proved that the T24Si's innovative, ultra-light repidly rotating tourbillon approach significantly improves the timekeeping performance of the single-axis tourbillon.
The Invention Piece 1 is an entirely new take on the Double Tourbillon 30°; one which raises an incredibly high bar even higher. Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey created Invention Piece 1 as their way to pay homeage to the Double Tourbillon 30°. The intriguingly atypical layout of the indications, coupled with its extremely limited availability, are certain to ensure that Invention Piece 1 will be a much sought after prize for discerning collectors.
